New English and Dutch book now available.
We are happy to present the long awaited updated version of Cathrine Sadolin's book 'Complete Vocal Technique'. Order it now!
The new version represents an extensive update from the previous English book released in 2000, and includes the absolute newest development in CVT. Everything in the book has been checked and double checked, big parts of the text has been rewritten, and new chapters has been added. New experience from research, and from three years with Complete Vocal Institute where different teachers has worked with more than 3000 singers from around the world, is worked into the book to make it even more clear and efficient.

'CVT Sound Library' replaces the CD
One of the big improvements is the development of a brand new sound library with 417 female and 417 male examples and exercises. The sound clips are all standard mp3 files and can be downloaded from our website and played on almost all kinds of computers or iPod-devices. The sound files can also be played directly from the website.
The CVT Sound Library replaces the CD from earlier books which has about 300 samples mainly recorded by female singers. The CVT Sound Library is also much easier to navigate as all samples has individual numbers (a CD has a limit of 99 track numbers), and another great advantage is that the sound library will be updated regularly.
Included in the purchase of one of the new books is a license key that gives access to download the entire sound library plus 1 year access to possible updates.

We are working on offering access to the new sound library without having to buy a new book. This can be convenient for owners of the present Swedish and Danish books which do not include the new sound library. We expect the payment gateway to be up and running a few days after this newsletter is released. Order.

10 years with Complete Vocal Technique
The first release of Complete Vocal Technique in 1998 was at that time the culmination of 15 years research, development and hands on experience. The book was met with overwhelming feedback, and has on numerous occations been referred to as a 'Bible for singers'. Now 10 years later Complete Vocal Technique has been adjusted and refined over and over again, not at least at Complete Vocal Institute where a highly specialised teaching staff daily are met with critical questions from several hundred singers. At the 3-year Singer/ Teacher Diploma Course the scrutinising of the techniques is especially thorough. The 96 singers studying there at the moment want to be absolutely sure they can rely on the techniques when they receive authorisation as CVT teachers. The institute has also provided valuable subjects to scientific research studies made in cooperation between the institute and British ENT doctors, phoneticians and statisticians. All experience and knowledge are gathered and the techniques and thereby the books are updated regularly.

New Basic CVT Courses in Tromsø & Mosjøen
a cooperation with Norges Korforbund
CVI has recently established a cooperation with Norges Korforbund (Norwegian Choir Association) about teaching Basic CVT Courses to Norwegian singers connected to Norges Korforbund and others interested in joining these courses in Mid- and Northern Norway. The Basic CVT course is taught over 6 seminars by authorized CVT-teachers, and resembles the 1-year Singer Course.
The first of the Basic course starts in Tromsø on February 20th 2009, and the second starts in Mosjøen on September 4th 2009.

5-days Courses
The 5-days courses are aimed at singers who wish to work intensively on singing technique for 5 consecutive days. The course is suited for singers from all styles of singing - all genres of music are welcomed. The goal is for the acquired vocal techniques to be usable immediately after the course. The course will take the individual singer's technical and artistic vocal abilities as a starting point. If the participants wish so, the last day of the course will end with a concert. A piano player will be present for accompaniment.

Advanced Soloist Course in Copenhagen
For singers who have already completed a CVT education at CVI.
A progressive course focusing on each individual singer building a repertoire, training vocal techniques in the technical as well as the artistic sense, getting extensive live practice, and performing the songs with a band and in front of an audience. Also, the singers will be instructed on how to handle the press and media. Furthermore, studio training and work with a vocal producer is included, and a demo CD will be produced.
The course is 6 seminars, 3 days each, within one year. Seminars run Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Welcome to 56 new singers
at the 3-year Singer/ Teacher Diploma Course!
During August and September we have had the pleasure of meeting the four new groups of singers for the 3-year Singer/Singing Teacher Diploma Course in Copenhagen. |

These groups are now totally filled up with skilled and experienced singers and singing teachers. It is very internationally mixed groups with singers coming from the Netherlands, England, Belgium, Iceland, Faroe Islands, Finland, Germany, Rumania, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, and the USA. If we add original nationalities we have a Philipino, Austrian, Canadians, Italian, Syrian, so soon we can offer Complete Vocal Technique in all the major languages :-)
Many of these singers/singing teachers have solid professional careers already as singers and/or as singing teachers at conservatories and universities in their home countries. Most have taken a 1-year singers Course or a 4 month Intensive Complete Vocal Academy, so the level is very high.
We are very happy to welcome them all to CVI and are looking forward to see them 6 times pr. year over the next 3 years!
With these four new group more than 150 singers are now authorized CVT-teachers or studying to be, and we will be able to accommodate many more singers wanting to learn more CVT.

We need
test singers in Copenhagen
A free taste of Complete Vocal Technique. If you would like to try out the possibilities CVT has to offer for free, this is your opportunity! The attendants at our international 3-year Singer/ Teacher Diploma course are using test singers as part of their training. All attendants at the 3-year course are professional and at the highest level.
As a test singer at CVI you will receive 20-30 minutes free training. Or at selected days a full master class with fellow singers and teachers. Do you have specific challenge to work with, or do you just want to try something new? In either case a session as CVI test singer is evident.
The more you are aware what you want to work on, the better result you will get from your session. It is not required that you know anything about Complete Vocal Technique to become a CVI test singer, but should you be interested in studying we recommend book&CD 'Complete Vocal Technique'.
The age limit for attending as a CVI test singer is 18 years of age.

Vi mangler kaniner på CVI
En gratis smagsprøve på Komplet Sangteknik. Hvis du kunne tænke dig at få en gratis prøve på de muligheder Komplet Sangteknik har at byde på, så er chancen her nu! Deltagerne på vores internationale 3-årige Sanger/Underviser Diplomuddannelse skal nemlig bruge sangkaniner som led i deres uddannelse. Alle på uddannelsen er professionelle og befinder sig på højeste niveau.
Som sangkanin ved CVI får du 20-30 minutters gratis undervisning. Du kan få undervisning i lige præcis det, du ønsker. Har du en bestemt sangteknisk udfordring, eller kunne du bare tænke dig at prøve noget nyt? En session som sangkanin hos CVI er oplagt.
Jo mere du som kanin har gjort dig bevidst om, hvad du ønsker at arbejde på, desto længere kan du nå på de 20-30 minutter. Der er ikke noget krav om forhåndskendskab til teknikkerne, men skulle du være interesseret, kan vi anbefale bog & cd Komplet Sangteknik.
Aldersgrænsen for deltagelse er minimum 18 år. Vi skal bruge sangkaniner løbende. Lad gerne dine sanginteresserede venner/ bekendte vide besked om denne mulighed også.
